Hello Everyone, my name is Dr. Uchenna Kole-James, Pharmacist and founder of Phun On the Pharm. Today we are celebrating all the wins from week 1.
This is Day 9 of our 30-day September Challenge to Mastering Positive Change in our health, our selves, and our relationships!
Yes, I said it I will be here every evening during the month of September at 9:30p every single evening.
Please join me, I have some amazing things to share with you! I can’t wait!
During this month, we are going to discuss how mastering your health, yourself, and your relationships are essential to you living your best life!
We are streaming live to my Facebook page Phun On the Pharm and my YouTube channel Dr. Uchenna Kole-James! Please subscribe to my channel for updates!
During our sessions together ask questions!
If you have a question, I’m sure someone else has that same question!
During my time in retail people have asked me many questions and I have compiled many of them into 3 categories. The categories are health, self, and relationships!
It’s celebration time!
So, there are several topics that we talked about this week.
We began our week 1 discussing the importance of exercise and diet, and we all gave verbal pledges to both exercise a minimum of 10 minutes a day, and no fast food during the week.
We also learned the effects weight gain has on the blood pressure, and which dietary supplementation can be effective and the side effects that they cause.
We discussed the differences between cardio and strength training. How Yoga and Pilates helps strengthen the core, and helps with balance and posture. In addition, I shared with you some meditation techniques, and advice from our local fitness experts.
WOW, talk about a power-packed week!!
How is everyone feeling! We made it to the end of week 1 for mastering positive change in our health. Week 2 is all about our selves, and week 3 is all about our relationships!! Week 4 is a summation and developing a concrete plan to move forward.
So, how do you feel about the information we discussed?
The reason that we are carving out a whole session to celebrate the wins every week, is because sometimes we forget to pat ourselves on the back, or to take time and appreciate the hard work that we have done.
We have several days that we accomplish our to do list, we did well what we set out to do, and we don’t congratulate ourselves, we don’t notice that we achieved something.
You deserve to feel better about yourself, you deserve to feel more accomplished and great about the work that you have put in.
I mentioned that we are beginning with just 10 minutes a day, because this will help us get into the practice of daily work-outs and make it a habit. 10 minutes a day is not a long time, but if you have been consistent with your regimen, your diet, your calendar for this week, it’s important to rejoice!
Pat yourself on the back, and reclaim that joy, and say Uchenna you’re the shit!!!
When you give yourself credit for something, that you have done well, psychology studies says you are more likely to take on bigger and harder responsibilities… allowing yourself to get better and better!
When was the last time you really gave yourself credit for something you did well?
1. Using your calendar and write/input, weekly “what did I do well this week?” What did I do to make myself feel more accomplished?
Your calendar is everything to keeping a schedule. We put the challenges on our calendar and our growth goals, we have to put the celebrations on their too. It can be anything. Did you work out this week? How did you eat this week? Did you commit to joining me at 9:30 pm to mastering positive change in your health?
That’s a win, my phriends on the pharm! That’s a win! When you celebrate the small wins, and it becomes a routine, you’re more likely to want to try and do something more challenging.
2. Share your wins with your friends and family
Did you smash a presentation this week? Did you not yell at your children on Tuesday? Did you cook your family a wonderful meal this week? People need to know this. Share yourself and take pride and joy for what you have done! Have enthusiasm about what you have to share. Share your accomplishments and achievements! This helps you feel more connected with each other.
At my family, we celebrate our wins every Sunday. We call it our Sunday Reset. While we’re packing bags for the school week, and making lunches, or folding clothes, we’re discussing what went well, and what goals we have for the week to come!
When will you schedule your Sunday Reset?
Until tomorrow, self-love yourself, what is more important than you?!
