Some of you may not want to hear this but, trust me, it’s for your own good.
You should not be doing many of the things that you are doing today.…
Identify the most important people in your life. Who are they?
Identify the things that you spend the most of your time on. What are they?
We must learn how to delegate and outsource many of the things we are currently doing today.
Your time is money!
Your skill and expertise is what’s going to make you great. You don’t have time and can’t be great by doing work and tasks that someone else will do for you for less.
Outsource, outsource, outsource!!
Have you read the 4-Hour Work Week? Great book if you have not! This book is delegating and outsourcing on steroids, but the points are the same.
Last year around this time, mine were cooking, cleaning and laundry, and uploading my blogs.
I’ll tell you my experience… Cleaning – I would spend all morning cleaning. Making sure kitchen is clean, making sure laundry is done, making sure all the sheets have been changed. I live with 3 males… Enough said. And then I found Martha. Martha cleans and I work. No excuses, Uchenna get to work. My husband’s happier because the house is clean, his clothes are folded, and hung up neatly.
List 3 things you have got to stop doing this week, and have someone else do them for you…
1. It gives you time to work on mastering your change, your genius, and developing your skills. My time is worth more than minimum wage. I’m a genius, I shouldn’t be running around doing laundry and scrubbing the kitchen floor all day long.
You can’t afford to keep doing things that you can outsource!
Yes, the person may not do it the same as you, and I know I know my floors shine when I scrub them, but it’s okay that its good enough. I can’t afford to waste 4 hours daily on these multiple tasks making something perfect.
Do this for yourself. Ask parents around your kid’s school, ask people at local churches and local community centers. Your main job for the next week is too find someone to help you take those 3 things off your plate.
Uploading blogs. – Can I say VA. One word…. Brickwork.
Video Editing. One site, Upwork.com. I cannot tell you how many hours I spend on getting acclimated to technology. Familiarize yourself with it, then outsource it as soon as possible.
I used to be a straight up club-carrying cavewoman pharmacist. I just learned Microsoft Excel last year.
Now I’m using Wirecast, Social Media, Kajabi, and scheduling counseling sessions on HIPAA-compliant video software. This is help moving my company forward, allowing me to generate more revenue.
I built my own website using Kajabi, because I wanted to, my membership site, www.phriendsonthepharm.com because I wanted to….
There are just not enough hours in the day to do everything that “needs” to get done, and everything that needs to get done to move your needle. While your Martha is cleaning once a week, you can be exercising, at least 10 minutes per day!!
You can’t keep going this way, you will wear yourself out. You’re not happy, you become angry, resentful, distant, how is this going to help your relationships?
2. ALLOWS YOU TO SPEND MORE QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR LOVED ONES.
If you’re spending all your time cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry, when will you have time to read and play with your kids, or make love to your spouse.
Outsourcing low paying work, allows you to cultivate your relationships. If you’re saying you can’t afford to pay someone, I’m telling you, you can’t afford not to…
